We first fell hard for Michel Reverdy's delightfully old school Sancerre blanc, but have recently become equally convinced of his talent with Pinot Noir. This captures the warmth and exuberance of the '15 vintage, with juicy, sweet fruit and savory spice, but retains all the freshness and harmony we'd expect from top Loire reds. Before phylloxera, Sancerre was most renowned for its Pinot Noir production. This tasty rendition certainly makes the case that it still has an important place there.

Crisp but a little chewy and yet well balanced. It’s like the fruit is screaming Russian River Valley but the edited version on the album is dubbed with a hint of graphite. Translation: luvvy luvvy in my tummy.

The same charming, vibrant cherry to cranberry notes of a lively California Pinot and some of the earthy dried violet of Burgundian Pinot, but it's all softly layered around this extremely crunchy, extremely mineral skeleton with a lot of energy.
