Domaine Henry Pellé Vignes de Ratier Morogues Menetou-Salon Sauvignon Blanc 2018

$27.99

Menetou-Salonandnbsp;is a small appellation 30 kilometers southwest of the larger, older, and far more commercially successful commune of Sancerre. Paul-Henry Pelleandnbsp;is a thoughtful producer who shows that the top sites here, with the right amount of care, can produce Sauvignon Blanc of a quality that rivals upper tier Sancerreandnbsp;without the matching price tag. This is a wonderfullyandnbsp;expressive, generous Sauvignon Blanc from grapes grown on the southwest-facing Vignes de Ratier. Considering the vines see plenty of sun, there's a luminosity, a vibrancy that radiates in the glass. On the nose, ripe citrus and minerality shine through. On the palate, youand#39;ll find a richly textured style of Sauvignon Blanc that nevertheless finishes with crunchy freshness. Buy this bottle, a dozen (or two) oysters and enjoy together.

Just a touch of wood. Ton of minerality.
