Dujac fans know how great they did in ‘06, Jeremy Seysses’ first vintage in full control. Aux Combottes, a Premier Cru surrounded by Grand Cru’s on all four sides, is fabulous in 2006, fully open and giving wafting an unmistakable Dujac perfume with elegant spiced red berry fruit, cocoa and Gevrey earth. It’s liquid velvet on the palate, notably impressive for the vintage, with superb balance of fruit character, minerality and fine grained tannic structure. Terrific showing.

This is what happens when the Mondavi boys come for the night pick. (And yes, Dujac and coffee taste great together!)

Silky, dark fruit and earthy core. In a great place and just delicious. At Relais de Saulx in Beaune.

Some gritty tannins and high acidity for a Dujac, wiĺl hopefully gain a lot with some time in bottle. Opened a bit too early...
