This is the first time that these wines have been isolated into lieux-dits and bottled by individual cru, and 2018 was stellar vintage across the Jura region. Sourced from En Barbi, a unique south-facing plot surrounded by hills that protect it from winds, with silty clay soil over Jurassic marl that is rich in limestone. Half of the wine is aged in 350L and 500L barrels, 30% in large foudres, and 20% in vats. Mineral driven and length for days. In a word- captivating!
Dasha
15yo vines, 1h of Chard of 2h vineyard, first vintage in 75cl. 13.5 ABV. Preserved lemons, pineapple, Meyer lemon, rich but with punchy acidity, slight pith, oyster and good energy. Jura electricity all over it but round. Can’t wait to see to how this vyd fills out in 15
