In 2017, after suffering through consecutive frost affected vintages, the Nicolas' decided to start a nandeacute;goce line under the name 'Les Arches de Belliviandegrave;re'.andnbsp; This is biodynamically farmed Chenin Blanc from a like-minded grower in Bonnezeaux and made in the Belliviandegrave;re cellar. Although Bonnezeaux is known for its sweet wines from Chenin Blanc, this a dry wine soaring with fresh white fruit and the purity and elegance that is the hallmark of Domaine de Belliviandegrave;re Chenin. Aged 10 months in old barrel.

Racy, pure, electric fruit and mouthwatering salinity. Lemon, tart yellow apple, peach and pineapple fruit merge beautifully with toasted pine nuts tossed in sea salt. Virtually weightless mid palate that nevertheless caresses the mouth with texture, both slightly waxy and mineral. Finishes with excellent grip and slightly bitter pithiness. Fun and charming, yet complex. This humble cuvée is an outright steal if you can find it.

Really rather lovely. Off-dry nose, lemon, peach, fascinating waxy-saline accord on the palate followed by an attractive bitter almond finish. Beautiful work.

Honeysuckle on the nose, terrific minerality. Needs food, maybe cheese.
