Still young, but still opened up beautifully to give ripe faro fruit and berry, licorice, black pepper, fresh olive paste, blood, game, beautifully sappy, phenolic herbs, and an exotic hint of peach pit that emerges slowly. Opaque ruby in the glass, the appealingly ripe fruit notes are joined by spice cake, and an undercurrent of smoky mineralogy. Nice mineral structure overall. Beautifully long finish that leaves you with a subtle and sweet taste of white flowers. Beautiful Syrah.
