Corison Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

$104.95

Cathy Corison founded her own estate in 1987 after having skyrocketed to fame during her time crafting Chappellet and Staglin wines, and has long produced some of the most elegant and age-worthy wines in all of California. Her wines are never manipulated into overtly rich, heavy styles. She favorsandnbsp;wines of balance, more in the classic, old-school Napa Valley fashion. 2014 was an interesting vintage in that, following one of the driest winters the valley has seen, the fruit set came early, and the growing season kept the berries incredibly small and dense, creating a wine of concentrated flavor and structure without excessive weight or alcohol. The wine still carries savory black and red fruits with baking spices. Expect these to age seamlesslyandnbsp;for decades!
