Strawberry taffy, crushed strawberry, santa rosa plum, licorice, alpine herbs, pastille, singed earth. Juiciness balanced by its rustic tannin and herbal bite. A lot of character and charm for the price.

Paler than the other Burlotto wines tried over the same weekend. Prettier, more floral too. Didn’t pick up the white pepper that this grape can impart. Nice drop

Lovely pale red, translucent colour. Delicate and light/delicate wine (despite 14.5% ABV) best served on chilled side. Got the Burlotto texture but not the stuffing of the Barolos.

Super funny nose w warmth, spices like coriander n cloces but also sweetbread. Taste z more regular, styrdy grape juice.

First time trying this varietal and it is really tasty wine. Pale red. Very floral. Strawberries. Finish is herbaceous.
