Very good. From Magnum. Likely would have been wine of the night. Damn chassagne. Starting to get the lanolin/petroleum funk from age. Awesome

Petrol & lanolin on the nose from the age of this wine. Subdued white flowers (honeysuckle, orange blossom) in the background. Light honey and spice on palate. Great with Dungeness crab and caprese salad crostinis.

Why is there so little Vermentino in San Diego? This was more lovely and less spectacular, blending the bright floral fruit with a subtle edge of funkiness. I wish these were more in my regular rotation.

Lengthy Vermentino from France. A pretty solid wine but still has some years to go. Joyful

Fair amount of oak on this. Not sure the vermentino stands up to it. Would rather have a crisp Ligurian version.
