Alain Coudertand#39;sandnbsp;father purchased the Clos de la Roilette estate in the 60's, patiently reviving the vineyards that had fallen into disrepair on the property rather than replanting the vines. Tucked into the western edge of the village of Fleurie, his soils are composed of manganese rich clay that more closely resembles those found in Moulin-a-Vent. There is palpable density matched by a vivid sense of freshness that serves to highlight the overall intensity of the wine. The Tadrive cuvee is always quite tight up front as it is meant to be enjoyed with some age and is usually best after 5-10 years in bottle.

Good, solid Bojo. Lots of granite-laced plummy fruit. A little cherry and spice too. Good flavor intensity. Acids a bit low. But nice crunch from the minerality. A noticeable amount of tannin too.

Transparent crimson. Pretty stable funk makes things interesting, blows off quickly. Pure and more red than purple-fruited. Nice anise spice on the nose. Really rocking on night 2. Sweet and bright.

Opened too soon, thinking it was the regular Fleurie - labels are too similar. But showing well

Packed with future potential but so good already. Fruit galore with serious spicy undertones.

Really nice Beaujolais! Extremely floral on the nose. Flavors of cranberry, raspberry and red cherry fruit along with a bit of lemon rind. Just a hint of Brett. Touch of oak? Dark purple color, Medium body and gentle tannins. Good stuff. Thanks Kase!
