Figari isandnbsp;on a sunny, windy plateau near the southern tip of Corsica, where Yves Canarelli has been replacing international grape varieties with indigenous grapes of Corsica for more than 20 years. Primarily Niellucciu, blended with Syrah and Sciaccarellu,andnbsp;farmed biodynamically in granite soil. Fermented and vinified in large foudres for 14 to 18 months, bottled without fining or filtering. There is an intensity to thisandnbsp;wine, along with spicy and savory notes. Dark fruits like cassis and plum are complimented by smoky, earthy notes of tobacco with a racy, mineral finish. A wine unlike any other French (or Corsican) wine on the market. andnbsp;
