Yves Canarelli hails from Tarabucetta, just outside the famousandnbsp;Porto Vecchio.andnbsp;Heand#39;s a fairly young producer but is making some serious waves on the islandand#39;s scene.andnbsp;This was a real stunner of a wine, with a smoky character that would make fast friends of anyone who lovesandnbsp;Etna rosso, plush tannins that call to mind great Pomerol and a wonderful freshness and herbacousandnbsp;characterandnbsp;that could only come from Corsica. A blend of Niellucciu, Syrah and Sciaccarellu.

Classic Corsican - in the best way. Soft aromas. Dark berries, a little bit of cedar, minerals. There’s a little bit of texture too, a little bit of tannin, and all those same aromas flow right on through to the mouth. Hardly showy, hardly a complaint.
