Youthful acid overtaken by stark tannins and underdeveloped progression.

Dense, dark, brooding. Still very young; needed some time to breathe but opened beautifully. Despite its high cost, you can taste the breeding.

Another Weekly Wine Committee, this time hosted by @Weston Eidson and @Benjamin Keator ! They knocked it out of the park with French wines! As always, all wines are tasted blind. Another Bordeaux wine that exhibited classic notes, but this one was juicer than the first. Cranberries, plums and herbs.

Light, fruity but not tart, minerals, very French! Earthy undertones but wanting it to open up more.

Too young. No surprise there. Tannins are firm and tertiary notes starting to come around. Dark and earthy.

Left bank all the way. Earthy, smokey, well balanced tannins and acid. One to drink and ponder.

Classic mineral cassis lots of fruit. While it may have more time it was good tonight. Full of fruit in the finish.

Yes very classic and still quite young but a very enjoyable wine. Cassis and mineral on the nose. In the mouth quite high in tannin and acid , more of the tobacco and mineral and black currant, slightly austere perhaps .. Quite reasonable finish and nice balance. Very British claret. Will age well I would imagine as all parts are in balance . I enjoyed it with roast lamb.
