Delicious and powerful wine, gravel and dark cassis, gripping chewy tannin. Muscular and very youthful. Will be interesting to check back in on.

Colt 45 works every time. Remember those commercials? https://youtu.be/0pK5HmuCMBM I do. Grand puy Lacoste is my go to Bordeaux. It never disappoints, this one is still a little young but a great pauillac with graphic , dark fruit and just starting to show more complexity. The 2012 is on the market for $50 probably one of the better Cabernet values in the market especially given Napa prices recently. As for this 05, drink now or over the next 20 years

I wanted more out of this vintage. Shitty to say about it cause it was still really good.

Delight in every sip! Very smooth and balanced. Couldn't stop drinking it. Good structure, dark fruits with just the slightest hint of vanilla. Lighter tannins kept it from a perfect 10!!

Great young Bordeaux I have been holding on to for a few years. Probably not totally ready yet, but can't wait any longer.

Everything I could possibly want it to be at this age. Damsons and blackcurrant, meat, smoke, earth. Depth, power, complexity. Packs a huge punch (I laughed when I first put my nose in it) yet stays dainty and elegant. A hippo in a tutu doing a startlingly good pirouette, a wild animal and an aristocrat. Am almost frightened by how good this will be when fully mature.

Bordeaux classic, very grassy/earthy, still some tannins left, could have laid down another 5 years, but opened up nicely and paired well with short-ribs and potatoes. Awesome NYE treat.
