The soul-stirring wines from the supremely talented Richard Leroy from the famedandnbsp;Montbenaultandnbsp;terroirandnbsp;have become especially difficult to find, and especially expensive if you can even track them down. This version from Bois de Brinconandnbsp;hits on a similar qualitative level, but is done in a much more generous, youthfully accessibleandnbsp;style. Their 0.8 haandnbsp;ofandnbsp;vines here are old, averaging 50 yearsandnbsp;with many well over a century, andandnbsp;yields are correspondingly low. This is aandnbsp;deep, substantial, layered and complete bottle of Chenin. It leans towards the more classical end of the spectrum, with honeyed notes and excellent concentration.andnbsp;Itsandnbsp;searing mineralityandnbsp;and impressive purityandnbsp;make this one of the most exciting Loire whites weand#39;ve come across in some time.andnbsp;
