02 Cos deserves a pat on the back for this effort during a challenging vintages. The wine was tight on the palate, still staying closed the next day, but had an interesting nose with licorice and exotic spice wafting around one's head. The next day I discovered an extra complexity of tomato leaf that I like but may not be to everyone's liking.

Opened like a normal 2002, all vegetal, but two hours later it was bursting with fruit! Give it time and it will impress you.

Huge tobacco, cassis, mineral primal core. Some big oak. Juicy, ripe, boring. Meh.

Tasting great! A little minty on the nose and plenty of red fruit in the palate.

Tough vintage, but this this showed pretty well. Not a blow you away wine, but this was definitely enjoyable. I don't think I would buy another bottle, but I would certainly drink and enjoy if I had any others in the cellar.

Look 10/10, smell 10/10, taste 18/20, future 8/10. Medium body and aroma. After 15 years (and I have had it 3 times about 3-4 yrs apart), it seems like this wine is only 1-2 yrs old. No sign of browning of edges. Red berries, wood, soil and a bit of bandaid. Body is slightly closed. Lighter than expected. Have been saying for 10+ yrs that now is a great time to drink
