Switzerland might be outside your normal wine rotation, but this Gamay from the Valais is a perfect reminder of the benefits of moving a little beyond your comfort zone. We find quality Gamay to be an ideal red companion for the warmer months, and this has all the thirst quenching qualities, silky tannins and crunchy red fruits that you'll find in top Beaujolais. This wine takes it a step further though, with a distinct streak of alpine herbs and a pronounced minerality and length that make it especially unique. Their importer likens the experience of drinking this wine to be andldquo;like biting into that elusive Perfect Strawberryandrdquo; and we can't think of a much better descriptor.andnbsp;
