Broadside is a winery centered in Paso Robles that was founded by Brian and Stephy Terrizzi in 2006. Their wild ferment Chardonnay is not your typical west coast affair. Rather than oaky and buttery, the wine showcases bright orchard fruit and lifted acidity.andnbsp; Raised largely in stainless steel rather than new oak, this Chardonnay nevertheless has a lush texture from frequent stirring of the lees during maturation.

I really like this. I'm seeing reviews saying funky and I agree with that... But it's not a bad funk at all. Definitely good fruit but also lots of butter and a great aftertaste. Not alcohol tasting, it's a rare one that's good in the mouth and leaves a great finish. I can't remember where I got this... Either WinCo or Costco or maybe total wine... I need to find it again though, it's really good.
