Benanti Etna Bianco Carricante 2017

$26.99

100% Carricante from high altitude albarello (andldquo;little treeandrdquo;) trained vines. Powerful and racy with hints of white flowers and honeydew melon all with a mouth-watering saline finish. Carricante is indigenous to Etna and this is a perfect wine to get acquainted with this noble variety.

Pale straw. Open knit, very clean pear, peach and nectarine aromas, with strong floral undertones. Easygoing and subtle, with flavors of pear, apple, mint and minerals, and a lightly tropical quality. Nicely persistent on the juicy finish. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, August 2019)

Nice, light body and light acidity. Creamy lemon and light floral. Very pleasant but not terribly complex. Unique and fun though.

Super citrusy. Remind me of a combination of Riesling and chardonnay. Also petrol finish like Riesling. Amazing

This is the Etna Bianco. Lemon, green olive oil soap, lime zest - smokiness tastes like it came from volcanic soil for sure. Beautiful, light, and refreshing. Where it’s being savored doesn’t hurt...

Tightly wound white with finely tuned citrus and rocks. Just enough flesh to make it an easy drink. Will buy more
