Slow to open. Warm red fruit, with a complex earthy finish, mineral texture and refined tannins.

If Pithos appeals to the mind, the Cerosuolo speaks to the body: lush and ripe red fruit. The use of wood casks provides lushness and vigor. It's full of life.

I can't drink this wine without smiling - tastes like pure red fruit, hot rocks, Sicily and bright sunshine.

Nice wine, but not remarkable. Paired with steak, may have been more fun on its own.

Rustic and chaotic. Dark, intriguing and satisfying. Some good funk and black fruit on then nose. Tart boysenberry from the Frappato upfront. Some bass notes from the NDA with a waifier than expected body. A chalky baking-spice, limestone-laced finish. Doesn't seem to follow any decipherable arc though like a story made up of wonderful vignettes that don't fully gel, but you don't care and enjoy it anyway.

A bit austere, deserves some age. Less full bodies than "Pithos". 13% abv.
