This is beautiful, elegant, lush, ripe but it lacks some depth and definitely destintive character. The fruits are; blackberries, sweet & sour, dark cherries, black raspberries, blueberries, dry cranberries, strawberries and creamy raspberries. Mixed mid/dark, berry cola, fruit tea, light, dry, crushed rocks & top soils, very soft spice and baking spices, (some caramel notes, dry herbs, moist clay, dry tobacco & leather as it opens up after three plus hours) dark, rich soil with dry leaves, withering & fresh, dark, red, blue & purple flowers, excellent acidity and a nicely balanced & polished finish. If you are having this now-ish, I would give it a three hour decant for it to better reveal itself. Still has another eight or more good years of drinking properly stored. Photos of, Aubert fruit/vineyards & Mark Aubert.

Well balanced. Just the correct amount of dark cherry and terroir.

My first aged Aubert Pinot. In youth these are big and elegantly extracted. Time has only concentrated and refined, like a well executed reduction.

I concede that this (15.3%) is how I like my Sonoma Pinot. A long lingering finish. The 2013 was a great pull.

Look for the money I'm sticking with Aubert Chard. I like it but I have had Pinot half the price just as good if not better

At home in magnum. The wine is still super tight. Delicious but why do we need Pinot at 15.3 degrees. Still all primary aromas needs a lot of time. Despite the alcohol levels the wine is light. Good acidity, tannins not fully integrated. All red fruit. Would have been great at 2 degrees less. When will they ever learn in Cali ??!!

Most disappointing wine of 2016. Aromas of wet dog and moldy basement.
