Antoine Arena Memoria Patrimonio Nielluccio 2013

$52.99

The Memoria cuvandeacute;e is a uniquely important wine, and is deeply personal for the Arena family. This is from the oldest parcel of vines in Partimonio planted in the 1920's by Antoine's grandfather and never farmed chemically. This vineyard served as the source material to replant the balance of the familiyand#39;s holdings over the years. 2013 is the final vintage made by Antoine Arena before passing the torch to sonsandnbsp;Antoine-Marie and Jean-Baptiste. Memoria is a wine that was typically saved for personal consumption or served for special guests, and is rarely bottled for sale. Niellucciu from 80+ year old vines in organically farmed clay and limestone soils, aged in neutral 350L barrels, bottled without fining or filtration. This wine is approachable young, but could easily be laid down for a decade or longer. Vibrant black fruits, notes of savory meatandnbsp;and smoke, with a graphite and a juicy finish.
