These historic vines are from the original holdings of the Arena family, dating back to the 18th century. 100% Nielliuccu from Grotte di Sole, a 2 hectare plot of 60 year-old vines in clay-limestone soils that have never seen chemicals, and whose name translates to andldquo;sunny grottoesandrdquo; in Corsican, due to its direct Southern exposure. The intense sunlight produces incredibly ripe grapes, which are hand-harvested, fermented in cement tanks. The resultandnbsp;is a wine that is rich and opulent, with ripe cherry flavors complimented by savory notes of leather and tobacco. andnbsp;
