Anthony Thevenet is a young winemaker based in the village of Morgon in Beaujolais.andnbsp; He founded his estate in 2013 after stints working with Jean Foillard and George Descombes, about as great an education as one could hope for in the Beaujolais!andnbsp; Unsurprisingly, Anthony farms organically and utilizes carbonic maceration during his fermentations in much the same way his mentors do.andnbsp; The 2018 Cuvandeacute;e Julia is a great introduction to this winery; there is plenty of density and concentration from the vintage matched with crunchy fruit and fabulous lift as well.andnbsp; Classic Cote du Py at a great price.
