Minandeacute;ralandnbsp;is always produced from 100% Chardonnay from the same sources, Le Champ Bouton inandnbsp;Avizeandnbsp;andandnbsp;Bionnes/Buzonsandnbsp;inandnbsp;Cramant; truthfully, they are not tremendously different in site,andnbsp;sitting less than a football field away from each other. They share the same chalky subsoils, butandnbsp;Agrapartandnbsp;treats them differently, as Le Champ Bouton is fermented in tank, whereasandnbsp;Bionnes/Buzonsandnbsp;is vinified in demi-muid. The blend is equal between the two sites.andnbsp;andnbsp; 2011 was a difficult year for many producers, marked by an overwhelming savory, herbal tone; Pascal, through his continuously superb viticulture has avoided this and produced incredible wines, some of Champagneand#39;s best of the vintage.andnbsp;

2011 was apparently not a great year in Champagne and I felt like that showed a bit as this wasn’t quite as memorable as some of the other Agrapart Mineral’s I’ve enjoyed. It was still delicious with a great mix of acidity, fruit and texture.
