This was utterly delicious…2004, red berry, earthy, dried rose petals, high acid and long finish..paired with cheese, crackers, and anything crunchy and salty.

Tasted from magnum, the 2004 Grande Cuvée Rosé Alexandra, Laurent-Perrier’s flagship Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir (on the skins) and 20% Chardonnay vinified together that has only been bottled seven times since 1982. From the very first taste, the 2004 is utterly spectacular. Rich, ample and vertical in feel, the 2004 is dazzling. Dried rose petal, star anise, tobacco, dried flowers, red berry fruit and earthy notes all grace this utterly exquisite Champagne. As good as the 2004 is today – and it is fabulous – it will be even better in another few years’ time. The 2004 has been nothing short of magnificent on both occasions I have tasted it so far. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2019)

Tasted two bottles- slight variance but equally stunning- complex. Co-fermented Pinot Noir and Chardonnay- all GC, all 2004. Phenolic, brass-copper, extremely taut, linear and complex. Beautiful.

Frederique at LP sent us home with the rest of the bottle we tasted... So we had it with our pizza emporter! A great high/low pairing that I hope to repeat! The coppery, bottomlessly complex wine played very well with the saucy pie.

What a bottle! Seamless elegance, savor and purity- this went very well with our dinner at Evia in Palo Alto.

A wonderful champagne in LH First right now. I am not always a fan rose champagnes but this one hits the mark. Lovely smooth Pinot aromas and getting into the beginning of the 2nd maturation phase. Really great.
