Bright violet. Smoke-tinged dark berries and cherry on the fragrant nose, along with a hint of cracked pepper. In a fleshy, forward style, showing good depth and energy to the gently sweet cherry and blackberry flavors. Smooth tannins frame the finish, which leaves a hint of spiciness behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2019)

Delicious bottle of wine. Wonderful bouquet, fragrant Syrah aromas, tannic and well structured flavors. Great with fatty meats. Easy drinking. Had it at Chapeau with ribeye. Would definitely get again!

Blackberry, licorice on the nose. A bit of garrigue and olive too for a classic saint Joseph bouquet. The palate is rather thin and on the length which is unusual for this producer. Usually it has more matter and weight. This one is very long with a good grip, some nice fruit along the acid backbone, and a fruity finish with a bit of a wild, gamey, meaty thing to finish with. Good not great

Classic Saint jo nose : blackberry, garrigue, black olive, meat, black pepper, a salty thing. The palate is so cool : some sheer acid backbone along with those black fruits. Some width with grip on the sides, some layer of silk there too. The mid palate is quite wide and fun. The finish is packed with black pepper and blackberry. This is average + Saint jo. I kind of like it

Pale yellow with a water rim, orange blossom, chamomile, peach, white flowers on the nose. Light, crisp, fresh, peach, apricot, grassy on the palate. Absolutely lovely.
