Expectations were high. Okay. Nice balance, but needed more time.

Insane complexity on the nose, with licorice, cassis, cumin, lamb, black peppercorn. Rich and just beginning to open.

1.5 hour decant(decent fine/cloudy sediment). A beguiling medium dark garnet color. On the nose: perfumed notes of brambly raspberry, cassis, pine, floral, herbaceous. Taste: smooth, velvety, brooding wine with plum, cassis, tobacco, baking spice, iron, a touch of graphite-mocha with a medium plus finish and a little ending tannic kick. YUM! Drinks well with the decant and looking forward to trying again with more time on it.
