I would have expected a 2009 to show more emotional depth. However, this tight, tannic unyielding wine merely dried out my palate with its stated 14.5% alcohol level (which seems conservative given the effect on the palate). Hot, high alcohol impact and no complexity make the s a very disappointing wine.

Nice flavors, mineral, violets. Lush mouth feel. Initially tight but came around in 15 mins. Slight metallic finish
