Very pleasant wine. Was a gift from my neighbor- what a great surprise! Enjoyed with chicken with goat cheese and carrot / sweet pepper agrodolce courtesy of Blue Apron. Valpocella has a smooth mouth feel with dark fruit, mineral and smoke. Delightful.

For me an unusual Amarone, missing the dried fruit, raisins, prune notes. Dark fruit, not overpowering tannins, lots of spice. Open about an hour, drinking beautifully with pasta, sausage red sauce.
