Vignaoili Contrà Soarda Vigna Corejo Pinot Nero 2015

This hauntingly intriguing wine proves that Pinot Nero is way more than just 'Northern Italian Pinot Noir'.  Yes, it's identifiably Pinot Noir in its pure, elegant, deeply earthy disposition, but the spectrum of fruit and nuance in it is undeniably Veneto.  It's spicy, pungently earthy & mineral, and the fruit is about as dark as you'll encounter from this legendary grape.  Being a 2015, it's already well on its way to hitting full stride in terms of maturity, but we're catching it on the way up here, so...lucky us!   Vintage: 2015 Country: Italy Region: Veneto Appellation: Veneto Grape: Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) Drink: Now-2028
