"Here what we have is that super-old-school, oxidative, savory, nutty, waxy kind of Italian white, similar in spirit to, say a Pepe or Valentini. The 2016 Il Templare shows just how appealing this blend is with age. Soft and creamy, with plenty of freshness, the 2016 is just starting to peak now. Orchard fruit, lemon confit, mint and light floral honey accents linger. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2021)

Nice vernaccia blend from a producer we’ve enjoyed - but never have had this bottling. I think the age has been good here - fits together nicely with good mix of some almost leesy creaminess with lemon and acid.
