Maison blanche 'Cease & Desist' Bordeaux 2023

Bordeaux and ‘refreshment’ may not instantly link in your mind, but Nicolas Despagnes's Maison Blanche may change that.  It’s a serious vin de soif (juicy, light & easy to drink) made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc with a very short maceration time. For the 2023 vintage, it was bottled sans front label!  Even though it’s glou-glou style, the Bordeaux-ness (i.e. sense of place) of it shines through brightly.  Whack a chill on it and you’re in business!   Vintage: 2023 Country: France Region: Bordeaux Appellation: Vin de France Grapes: Cabernet Franc, Merlot Farming: Certified Organic & Biodynamic Drink: Now-2027
