The Gatinois Brut Rosé is my favorite 'house' rosé Champagne. With lovely verry fruits and a taut, focused personality that finishes dry and mineral with great length, there are few (if any) pink Champagnes on the market that deliver this much for this little. A distinctive pale salmon color with plenty of tiny bubbles. This smells delicious with a plethora of soft white fruits initially and a touch of aged cheese. Grapefruits and clementines say hello along with some very nice floral aromas. About as classic as it gets but with resounding power. From the Grand Cru village of Aÿ, it’s sleek and substantial. Smooth with excellent balance and structure. Pinot Noir dominant with plenty of cherries and honey on the tongue. A lingering citrus note on the finish. Very solid.
