A Piedmontese by birth, Federico Curtaz found his way to Etna after a career with Angelo Gaja and as a consulting winemaker. This lovely, precise and elegant expression of Etna Carricante has a beautifully French sensibility to it. Fabulously chic in texture, aromatically dazzling and mineral to the core. The 2020 Etna Bianco Gamma is more savory than sweet, with a mineral-inflected blend of crushed rocks, young peach and lemon oil. It's round yet takes on a crunchy feel. Tart orchard fruits and citrus tones collide over a core of zesty acidity.
