A mere 6,000 of the 40,000 bottles produced make it stateside, and, in almost every year, I find myself reaching for this one when that Provence itch comes calling...at least if it's still around, that is. It's just over half Grenache, just under a third Mourvedre, and the rest Cinsault, and, as always, it's positively, pink-fruited-ly delightful - everything you want in a top-tier wine from the spiritual home of rosé. No cute names, no marketing, no bulk-fruit, soda-factory production, no 'testing the market' pricing...just bright herbaceousness, chiseled minerality and ineffable elegance.
