Dead Reckoning ‘Mutiny – South Pacific’ NV

An absolute knockout rum from Fiji (although we're not supposed to say that because the water company trademarked the name of a country).  The Mutiny is a pot stilled rum that spent 21 years in a bourbon barrel, entirely in the tropical climate.  It was forgotten, and then, luckily for us, was rediscovered in the warehouse and bottled at cask strength.  At 65%, it's a bit of a screamer, yes, but that wonderful burn is perfectly complimented with deep, South Pacific rubbery funk, spicy, medicinal/caramelized fruits, and an insanely satisfying creaminess at the back end.  Absolutely incredible.   Single Ex-Bourbon Cask 85-90% Angels Share ABV 65% 92 bottles total *All spirits purchases subject to NYS sales tax.
