Cesanese is the hottest grape in Italy right now, literally.  New plantings of this unique, versatile and delicious grape are the most of any other varietal in the boot.  This Silene from Damiano Ciolli in the Olevano Romano zone of Lazio, is one of our favorite expressions.  Think of it at Sangiovese's lighter, spicier and more explosively aromatic sibling.  It's bright red, lively, transparent, perfumed and beautifully savory.  A lovely red that can go with just about anything!   Vintage: 2024 Country: Italy Region: Lazio Appellation: Olevano Romano Grape: Cesanese Farming: Organic Drink: Now-2030 ABV: 13.5%
