A classic Cahors, and perhaps the standard bearer for value in the appellation, Coutale is a blend of Malbec (80%) and Merlot (20%).  Dark, savory, iron/mineral and charmingly rustic, it's such a simple, genuine and delicious wine, and one of my all time favorites for casual drinking.   Vintage: 2023 Country: France Region: Sud Ouest Appellation: Cahors Grapes: Malbec, Merlot Drink: Now-2026
