The Champagne BD'RS Rosé de Saignée by Domaine Bourgeois-Diaz is a mono-variety Rosé obtained from maceration of 100% Meunier grapes harvested from two old plots, one from 1960 and the other from 1925, on loamy soils. Maceration of the grapes occurs for 22 hours with subsequent vinification, partly (80%) in steel and partly (20%) in fût de chêne. No final dosage - making it a Brut Nature - for this fruity Champagne Rosé with a strong identity. A trace of grapefruit lends a refreshing, tantalizing bitterness.
