The Sancerre Generation Dix-Neuf 2019 is one of the most thorough examples of Sauvignon Blanc you'll come across - it's broad and textured, with lovely fruit elements, but the gravity at the center of it all is the flinty, mineral nuance, that keeps the wine both chiseled and focused, but also give it a sense of aristocracy. After a couple of years in bottle, it's really found its equilibrium. Lovely. Gorgeous and silken, the 2019 Generation Dix-Neuf is a ball of beautiful, silky, concentrated Pinot Noir. Savory and smoky, it seems effortless, although it's clearly been anything but based on the impeccable quality. It caresses the palate. There's intensity and density here but no weight. The 2019 is a very complete wine that's still young. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2024)
