Probably the most distinctive expression of Sangiovese grape you’ll find. VERY dark and earthy with muted tannins. Finish was a little less savory than you would expect with the nose it has but it was quite good. Interested to try this again in another 5 years.

Magnum 2006 Valdicava Madonna Del Piano. YMD’s birthday dinner at Spice. Decanted right before drinking. Big and juicy, with only dark fruit. Mellowed throughout the night. Great!
