Truly speculation. One of the best Rieslings that I have ever had.

2000 vintage. Pale gold. Wow. What a nose. Huge minerality, ripe stone fruits, TDN (refined and subtle), and a very attractive richness that begs to be drunk. On the palate, there's a rich, slightly oily texture that clings to the back of the mouth. Very concentrated without being sickly. Red apple, peach and apricot. The wet rock minerality and lanolin to the fore. Acidity is totally balanced and integrated, and the finish is extremely long and rich. Fantastic wine. NB: with air, some violet and lavender notes and the wine is now creamy. Great complexity.
