The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Serena Palazzolo e Figli is very easy to like. Both spicy and intense, with smoky crushed stone giving way to musky peach and hints of confectionery spice. This washes across the palate, with round yet juicy textures delivering ripe orchard fruits and hints of candied lime. Its stimulating minerality and sour citrus add poise, yet not so much to slow its momentum, as the 2020 finishes long and wickedly fresh. This would make a great gateway wine for lovers of Sauvignon looking to explore Friuli. The Serena Palazzolo e Figli is a blend of fruit from throughout the Ronco del Gnemiz vineyards.
