13.5% Godello - excellent wine from an excellent producer. If you haven’t done so already check out this varietal. Spanish origin, citrus, green apple, high acid medium body. Phylloxera almost wiped it out but it was revived in the 1970s. About 4000 acres are planted in Galicia.

Rating is for day 3. On day 1, more an 8.7 - quite reduced and slightly bitter and ungiving. With the extra days this comes into balance. Doesnt have the generosity and round acid characteristic of some godellos, but still tasty.
