Another 4th Friday for the books! What a variety this month! This was my first ever Togni, believe it or not. Dang. How impressive this was. In fact, had this bottle not been consumed so quickly, it would have hit 9.5. It started off with a ton of funk...lots of mushroom and dirt. Changed incredibly in the glass and revealed cassis, blackberries, cherry, cocoa. If you’ve got ‘em, reap the benefits and open soon.

Just got my 20 yr order from Togni recently. Stored there all this time. Spectacular wine. Spicy, lush fruit, tannins have softened but still present enough for lots of energy. Loads of time left.

Incredibly youthful for a 20 year Naoa Cabernet. Group blind guessed it as a modern style from old world, 10+years old. Gorgeous nose of black licorice, dried herbs, and a supple, silky texture despite its abundance of tannin.
