Pasta night tonight so I pulled out a Barolo that I hadn’t tried in a while. This had a Burgundian & floral style that had lots of structure with silky tannins showing notes of red cherry, leather, spice, tobacco & rose petal.

Really enjoyed this. Could have used more time in the decanter as it developed more aromatics with the 2nd glass displaying a perfume of cherry liquor, rose petal, tar & mineral. This was elegant & floral, almost Burgundian like with a silky texture.
