We really love the first tier bottle from Boulay, a wonderful value for $25. Nose has intense chalky limestone with grassy citrus zest. The palate is like spring wheat grass, yet it has the drying aspect of chalkboard dust (right on), and a medium level acid. It has tamed somewhat since our last experience, in a good way.

Yum Sancerre! Grassy nose, nice mineral, elementary school chalk dust components. Palate had great, balanced acidity, light citrus and chalk/limestone. Really improving in the glass as the wine warms and gets some fresh air. Chilling out on the patio on a wonderful 70° Berkshires afternoon, perfect mid-summer day.
