Ruby red with slightly rusty rim. Medium intensity on the nose with loads of mushrooms, forest floor, black cherry cola and blackberry. Medium plus acidity keeps it fresh. Medium tannins and alcohol. Black cherry cola and blackberry on the palate with a hint of teen pepper. Long finish. Drink now (2017).

Woah. They say it tastes like old world Syrah, and so it does. It's less fruit forward than the Gonon I had recently, but concentrated and rich. Heavy scent of green olives on the nose, minerals, garrigue, a little bit of spice. The mouthfeel is voluptuous like blood, with a structure primarily held up by savory flavors - olives, pepper, cured meat, a bit of cherries.
