The 2020 Muschelkalk has finally come around. After 2 years of closed, reduced, funky - this is now singing beautifully! Amazingly fresh & juicy with red fruit (strawberries, red cherries), a hint of undergrowth, a touch of herbs. The purity here is just incredible! On the palate this is layered yet somehow weightless. Juicy, ripe tannins slowly mellowing, sappy acidity, crunchy cherries, a hint of roiboos tea, a flowery whiff. It opens & changes with time. Such depth & elegance. This is a delicious, quite profound yet delightful wine. So happy I still have a few bottles.

Magic. Nose: intense but elegant game. So savory. Some lilac. Mexican Cinnamon. Wild sage. Palate: Rich perfect deep cherry. Still red though. Licorice. Finish is perfect. So juicy you Salvate for 2 minutes. Perfect. Fass selections.

Earthy bark nose. Crushed marble. Smokey, earthy, dark fruit, smoked cherries? Lots of tannins. Peach Pit. A unicorn wine. Unlike everything else one comes across as a Pinot right now. I would say drink now or in 2-3 years. 2020 was warm.
